Moms and Babes and Tots group

Hi, My name is Liesel,

I am super excited to be part of the Moms and Babes and Moms and Tots franchise where I will have the privilege of being a small part in helping to build a positive foundation for children that promotes resilience and develops future world changers.

I am a qualified social worker and have been working with children who have been abused and removed from parental care for 22 years. During this time, I have observed first hand, the devastating effects that an absence of a secure attachment with an adult figure and a lack of overall stimulation can have on the healthy development of a child and on society at large.

“Birds fly, fish swim and children play.” – Garry Landreth. As part of my continued professional development, I obtained an Honore’s degree in psychology and a Master’s degree in play-based intervention. I then discovered animal assisted play therapy, integrating the involvement of animals in the context of play therapy and was joined by Lacey (in the pic with me) in providing play-based intervention to children.

I am now looking forward to being able to make a difference by being part of this franchise.

The programme offered is truly impactful, providing not only the opportunity for mom and babe/tot to strengthen their attachment, but also promote the babe/tots overall development and the chance for moms to meet and establish their “tribe” in a non-judgemental safe space. Here’s looking forward to building healthy families and establishing lifelong friendships.
