My name is Kiera Harding, the new proud owner of Moms and Tots Alberton.
I am a mom myself to a gorgeous 2 and a half year old little boy whom I love to bits. He is my world.
I have always wanted to work with children having au paired, baby sat and tutored young students and after having my own child saw this as the perfect opportunity to buy into the Moms and Tots Alberton franchise in June of this year. I saw the potential for a Moms and Tots franchise and had to share my passion and dream with others!
The groups are small to give special attention to each little one, giving them opportunity to socialize, communicate and build friendships from an early age (not leaving out the Mommies of course). This is quality time spent with Mom and Tot ( grandparents, dad and aupairs are most welcome) leaving some responsibilities and chores at home for a little while. Being a mom myself, it is so nice to relate and have some support and to make new friends. I too attended Moms and Tots classes and still have the same friends today where we still organize play dates for our children and to generally catch up with one another.
Classes are relaxed but still structured while having fun. We offer an age appropriate programme which includes fine motors skills, sensory play and social activities to enhance your toddlers development and social interaction. We do crafts so that the little ones can take something home to show off to Dad or other members of the family. Kids love messy play and never go home clean (please send them in a ‘play’ shirt). We also plan according to season to avoid our children from becoming ill. For example, we do not play with water during winter time. In summer, we have a water week, once in the month where kids even have a little pool to play in.
At Moms and Tots we are not just a play group but a little ‘family unit’, learning, having fun and supporting each other. I am finally doing what I love. My dream was to work with children who bring so much joy and happiness to our lives. I am so honoured and privileged to be part of their lives through play and learning, in building a foundation for their future education.
